This app is great. I love getting my morning briefing! In the time it takes to brush and floss, I get all caught up on yesterdays news.

Great articles; minimal ads. I also love the daily mini crossword puzzles!!!

Ive used this app for months, and almost every time I am using it the headers for articles and either repeated or glitched on screen. Ive contacted NYT support multiple times about this and their solution is to force close the app. Sticking with Apple News app from now on.

Like the the nytimes.com, the look of the app is clean & clear. The app is well suited for someone who grazes the paper rather than reading section by section. It presents a kind of front page in serial strips handy for one-fingered reading.

Looks lousy on an iPad or iPad Pro.

This app provides the best news notifications. Only important stuff. Not too much. Using the app is also great. But if you never open it youll still get just enough important news. Love it.

I love this app. First thing I read when I wake up. Unfortunately it needs notification sounds because I always miss breaking news alerts. If it had sounds, Id give it 5 stars.

Good stable app. Gives you a nice readers digest of todays news. If you want more, you can always go to the NYT app but this gives me the essentials which is nice. And also I like the other articles from around the web but wish they were a little more separated.

I tried many times to download your latest update, but it never finishes - even days later. Even tried deleting & reinstalling, usually to find it never fully deleted. One of my favorite news apps. PLEASE FIX THE BUG!

Every few days the app logs me off of NYT and makes me enter my info into the NYT website page. It is infuriating. I am already logged on in the app and have a subscription. Why cant it keep me logged in?

My go-to app, the center point of all my time on my phone. Whenever I unlock my phone after thirty minutes, I go right to it to see whats happening in the world. Beautiful layout (bonus points for thoughtful ad placement design), and amazing content thats constantly curated. My only concern is the updating system. It takes too long, retries the updating procedure when re-accessing the app within ten seconds of the last update (even though it has the most recent content), will reorganize things as your scrolling (sometimes removing or reorganizing a story youre just about to access), etc. Overall the design for updating the content needs to be ironed out, as it makes the experience somewhat clunky. Even then tho, the app is a treasure.

I was annoyed to discover ads between the stories after downloading the latest update. They are really bad ones too, like "try this one one weird trick" level. I appreciate its a free app and NYT has to make money somehow but I recommend keeping the older version on your phone if you havent updated yet. I read the news on this app daily on my commute to work since I dont have the full version.

Every morning and night I debrief on the world with this app. It also gives me alerts of important matters throughout the day, without flooding. Definitely worth it.
